Values...
Ladies and gentlemen: Ladies in particular; Yes yes, you are being singled out, indirectly. Not because you are Ladies, but because sadly, from what I've seen, this particular instance applies to you all, more so than it does to the fellas. FRIENDS: We love 'em don't we? Ah, but of course we do. However (comma) why is it that some of us are so quick to call any Tom, Dick, Harry, or Marry our "friend?" Ladies, you know what upsets me? When a woman speaks up about being called a "bitch" or "hoe" or any other obscenity out there, but is friends with guys who generalize females as such. You know, when a guy says things like that, he's talkin about you too. Sure, he's not sayin it directly to you, but as a WOMAN, does it only offend you if it's said directly to you? What makes it ok, for a guy to use those words when referring to your "species" (gender) as a whole, but not when he says it to you? Either speak up about THAT, or let it go the next time some loser at the club calls you a "hoe" or "bitch" when you turn his offer for a dance down. VALUES people, we've got to have them. If you don't value the character of your friends, then you don't value yourself. Ladies, I'm not saying defend every case of "Lady bashing" you run into, but pick friends who respect you, value you, and would honor you as a Lady. Fellas, we all know we don't mind Ladies bashing us, we're just happy to hear from a Lady, am I right? Haha...no, but at the same time, pick some good, solid, well rounded female friends who will respect the fact that you're a gentleman, and encourage others to be like you. There's nothing wrong with speaking freely, but try to speak with tact, command respect in the way you speak, and the way you refer to others....just sayin.
