Self Control...
Hmm, my first blog, so I'm gonna let it flow. No real structure behind my writing, just thoughts. I came to think of this post while posting my current status message on Facebook (or past status message, depending on when you, the reader, sees this entry). I absolutely hate it, when a person is upset, and acts like it's YOUR fault. I'm relaxing, minding my own business, and get slapped with an ugly attitude. Not from one person in particular, but just angry people in general. Now I've been known to be an "up-front" person: I don't scratch my head unless it itches, and I don't entertain a joke I don't think is funny. To some, that can come off as me having an attitude. That's understandable, but I try hard not to snap on those who aren't a reason behind my bad day. We're all guilty at times, so I won't be a hypocrite, but still. Some folks don't even try to refrain from shooting the burning flames of irritation your way, though you have nothing to do with it. If you're having a bad day, calm yourself down, relax, breathe easy; it'd be better to ignore someone for a while, rather than blow up on them. You never know what kind of day a person is really having; perhaps they were looking to you as a sense of relief or as someone to confide in. Whatever the case, control yourself, ensure your days, and others around you's days aren't ruined due to your anger....that is all.

Oh David, you speak nothing but the truth. People must learn to not wear their heart on their sleeves... thanks for this!
ReplyDeleteG, no problem. Thank you for your valid input. I agree completely; if folks act/speak irrationally out of emotion instead of thoughts, negativity is bound to be the outcome, more often than not.
